Bagging Your Board

One of the most important practices for maintaining your surfboard is to bag it, when it isn’t wet. 

It’s something that many board owners overlook, but a lot of the dents and imperfections that are commonly seen on your board, come from sources that are outside the water.

Rinsing The Salt Off

Contrary to popular belief, leaving your board in the sun for too long can do more harm than good. 

Extreme temperatures and excess sunlight can cause the board to dry out, which will make it crack and water will seep into the crevices.

Stand The Board Upright

Look into buying a surfboard rack to put on the top of your car, so that you don’t have to hang it over the side of your vehicle. 

You can even throw extra padding on the rack to make it softer. Another thing to keep in mind? Don’t tie your board too tightly on the rack or you can make dents in it!
